Meet Our Founder: Shelby Nicholl, MBA

  • I have a unique viewpoint honed from decades of leadership experience at A.G. Edwards (before Wells), Edward Jones and LPL Financial. I understand the behind-the-scenes on firm economics, client experience, products and strategy.

    I was in the room when firms were setting the policy on major aspects of your business, including financial planning, transitioning proprietary Money Market funds to other solutions, how to implement DOL regulation and Regulation Best Interest, client pricing and more.

  • I’m on your side of the table - always. I say the things to the firms that you can’t, and I get results. In a recent deal, I negotiated a 20% increase in the final stage, landing the highest paying deal (in basis points on AUM) for an Edward Jones team paid by the firm they chose.

  • I earned my Series 7 and 66. I know the difference between financial planning approaches. I know what you need in your tech. I attend and present at industry conferences to keep up on tech, compliance, client experience and more.

    I have personally talked with thousands of advisors from 100+ firms during my career and bring those learnings and ideas to the advisors I work with.

  • I’ve soaked up the good, bad and ugly about the firms, compensation norms, systems, and processes. I talk to advisors just like you every day. I bring those learnings to you.

    I am uniquely skilled to navigate large organizations to find the information you need to make a high-confidence decision.

    I also remain involved in our industry. I am a founding board member of Women Leaders in Finance and presenter at industry conferences, including RIA Activate and the Washington University Wealth & Asset Management Conference.
